DHF has many authors in its midst. A new page on the DHF website (disciple-heritage.org) lists those we know about. Go down the left side of the page and click “DHF Book Authors.” You can link to the authors’ names and find a bit about their books and how to order them. If you are (or know of) another DHF-related author, be sure to let us know so we can link to them as well.
Troy Hoffman
Troy Hoffman, a longtime part of DHF, is concluding his eighteen-year pastorate at Drexel Christian Church, Drexel, Missouri. He has been called to pastor the Ottawa Church of the Nazarene, Ottawa, Kansas.
Elmer Johnson
Elmer Johnson has been called to the pastorate of Mogadore Christian Church, Mogadore, Ohio. Elmer has pastored the Windmill Point Church of Christ in Ridgeway, Ontario, Canada for a number of years.
Beloit FCC calls pastor First Christian Church of Beloit, Kansas, has called Cliff Heagy to be their senior pastor. The congregation is a long-time DHF church.
First Christian Church of Brenham, Texas leaves the DoC On Sunday, August 5, the First Christian Church of Brenham, Texas voted to leave the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) denomination. The decision was affirmed by a vote of 41-2. Pastor Gary Jeter reported that one couple left the church over the decision, but otherwise it was done without harm to the congregation. The Brenham congregation has been part of DHF since 1999.
Saved By Grace Fellowship calls Youth Pastor
Saved By Grace Fellowship, a DHF church in Raymore, Missouri, has called Kyle Greenlee as their Youth Pastor. Kyle is a Sophmore in college and will communt to Raymore during weekends during the school year. Bill Durkes is senior pastor of Saved By Grace.
Richard Bowman has begun working as a part-time chaplain for the Benton County Hospice in addition to pastoring the Warsaw Christian Church in Warsaw, Missouri.
Don Sniff, pastor of Fowler Christian Church, Fowler, Colorado, recently took a memorable trip to Israel (and, yes, he just happens to have pictures…)
First Christian Church of Panhandle, Texas held three nights of revival services in early May. Shayne Raulston, pastor of FCC, preached for the services.
First Christian Church of Macksville, Kansas, has called David Crook as their pastor. David and his family are moving there from the Topeka area.
